Niccolò Machiavelli

Niccoló Machiavelli
The image of the modern politician may actually have roots in a 500 year old document "The Prince" by Niccolò Machiavelli. Machiavelli's works "The Prince" is a political study that describes less than honorable but all to realistic methods that still used by the politicians to secure their power.
There was a man who was born on May 3, 1469 in Florence, Italy. His name is Niccolò Machiavelli an Italian philosopher, Political theorist, diplomat, musician and writer of the Renaissance Period. At the age of seven, Machiavelli started his education. Machiavelli shared his love for books because it was a family value. He tirelessly read the classics and it was proved by his writings. Niccolò Machiavelli was also a central figure in a political scene of the Italian Renaissance. "Ill Príncipe" or " The Prince" is Machiavelli's best known work and it is dedicated to Lorenzo de' Medici in Government. "Discorsi sopra la prime desa di Tito Livio" or the "Discourses on Livy" is his other major contribution to political thought. It was an exposition of the Principles of Republican rule. In 1527 at the age of 58 Machiavelli died after receiving his last rites. He was buried at the Church of Santa Croce in France.
Niccolò Machiavelli's view is that a Prince should be concerned only of power and be bound only by rules that would lead to success in political actions. The Italian Peninsula was a scene of intense political conflict involving the influential city-states of Florence, Milan, Venice, Naples, plus the Papacy, France, Spain and the Holy Roman Empire, it happened during Machiavelli's life and the result of the political conflict was huge political intrigue, blackmail and violence. Machiavelli's work "The Prince" serves as the practical guide for the appointed or elected rulers. He also states that a prince must be always able to create an appearance according to the situation and act appropriately. He also seems to express the importance of monitoring on what people think of you and your reputation rather than what you think of yourself. According to Machiavelli, to be love or like is not a responsibility of a leader but instead to be feared and respect.
I analyzed that his famous work "The Prince" symbolizes a leader or ruler of our country. The leader has to make difficult decisions for his country . They also need to be strict and always there to provide unity and governance to the people. I also think that Machiavelli's thought about the Prince should need to be feared and respect rather than to be love or like because of course, as a leader or a ruler to your country, you have the responsibility to control people and in order to have a good run state they will need a complete obedience or cooperation from them. An also being generous to your people can puts you at disadvantage because people prioritized their own benefits that they can get from the leader or politician. People nowadays, whenever election comes, they will vote or support who they want and doesn't care about the personal background or characteristics of the person whom they elected . At this point, we should elect officials who are strong, confident and has a strong willpower. I support and also agree about Machiavelli's philosophy because having good leader will make our country become progressive because of their rules and laws. They help and gives their best to improve our lives.
I therefore conclude, that every philosophers has their own philosophy that is useful in our life or decisions in life. It always gives us knowledge and to discover things around us. Their philosophy sometimes brought us to become a better person. The work of Niccolò Machiavelli tells us to be smart when we are electing a leader. We need to think wisely for the sake of our country, we people should follow all the rules. And for the leaders, they also need to think what's good for the people in his country. Love our ountry just like how much we love ourself.
